Our history

COCOMOON was founded with the vision of strengthening women's self-esteem in swimwear, with a clear focus on sustainability and quality. For founder Frida, it all started with a love of travel and life by the water, but also in the experience of how difficult it is to find swimwear that fits well, is stylish and lasts over time.

After years of searching, Frida began sewing her own swimwear. What was initially a personal project quickly sparked interest when she started talking about it with friends and acquaintances. The conversations showed that the need was common. Many women experienced the same thing, that swimwear is rarely adapted to different bodies and different needs.

Unlike many other garments, swimwear has high demands on fit. Women's bodies look different, and it takes thoughtful design to create swimwear that really fits well. That was the starting point for COCOMOON.

Frida began designing and sewing swimwear based on real needs, with a focus on adjustable fit, beautiful colors and elaborate details. Already in the development phase, sustainable materials were used, including fabrics made from recycled fibers from old fishing nets. Today, about half of COCOMOON's collection is made from recycled materials. The design is innovative and free of plastic and metal buckles.

COCOMOON's collections are produced in smaller releases and developed through careful design work where Frida herself is responsible for both design and prototypes. The expression moves between more sporty and more elegant models, with innovative adjustable solutions and reversible bikinis that can be worn in multiple ways.

The first collection was launched in the summer of 2024. Production takes place in Sweden and Portugal through socially sustainable and transparent collaborations, with a focus on good working conditions, quality and long-term sustainability.

Today, COCOMOON is a swimwear brand for women looking for bikinis and swimwear that make them feel confident and beautiful.
